Summer Term 2008
Cedar class had a restful Easter holidays and have returned to school ready for more holidays! Our foundation topic this term is holidays.
We have alrerady been on a trip to the rainforest where we caught an aeroplane and saw lots of different types of animals there including a slippery snake, a giant ant and a real tiger. The tiger was quite friendly but very scary.
We will be looking at other aspects of holidays throughtout the term focusing on seaside holidays.
We will be finding out what the seaside is like and how holidays were different in the past. We are planning a science investigation to compare different habitats and are looking forward to making a seaside collage.
We are going to create our own seaside song and a sliding picture.
We are hoping to look at day trips and are planning a day at the circus. This will be great fun and we hope to learn some new tricks.
Eric continues to visit us and helps us with our learning. He sponsered a wolf for us. He is called Tejas which means 'friend for life'.
We are waiting for some photos of Tejas as Eric has asked Miss Penny's parents to visit him, as Eric like us isn't old enough yet to visit Tejas. We can't wait!
