Summer Term 2008
This term Rowan class will be doing lots of work on persuasive writing. We recently all enjoyed watching a short comic film called "Flatlife" and from this managed to produce lots of persuasive writing such as letters of complaint and adverts for selling flats and houses.
In science we are learning about hunam and animal skeletons. Children will research the scientific vocabulary used to describe the bones and compare simularities and differences of skeletons of various animals.
Children also have recently produced copies of Picasso style portraits. They used his unique sketching style and lightly used dull watercolour paints to encourage the effect of the painting to be more bleak.
